The new CFD server is fully operational

The new CFD server is fully operational 

The new server comprising 120 cores is fully operational and has allowed us to carry out more detailed combustion engineering for project such as:

  • A double-stage Pillard INDUCTFLAM® burner project for Fives Combustion Systems (for a client in India) for which the second stage (consisting of an L5 type burner), must operate at oxygen and temperature conditions which are below our criteria. CFD combustion engineering was carried out in order to optimize the injection of the augmenting air necessary to ensure flame stability                                 
  • A project with a Pillard ROTAFLAM® burner for a major mineral company in China, for a dolomite rotary Kiln. The new process requires an injection of oxygen in order to increase the flame temperature and for the thermal exchange with the material bed. The client also purchased an oxygen lance and CFD engineering for optimization of the oxygen injection into the furnace.
  • A Tail gas incinerator project in a Petrochemical plant in Germany for Fives Pillard Deutschland: the purpose of the CFD engineering study was to show modifications to be implemented on a with a Pillard GRFLAM™ burner in order to reduce CO emissions.
